Prof Kevin Bonds

· The topic I chose is Health Information Technology and EMR.

Long-term care amenities are a crucial part of any well-being organization, considering the quickest developing population. Be that as it may, the reception of electronic health records in these LTC offices lingers behind other areas of the medical services industry. One reason for the absence of broad assumption in the United States is that LTC offices are not qualified for motivating forces under the Meaningful Use program(McGeer et al., 1991). Sure, these electronic health records have several disadvantages; for example, if not frequently updated, the EHRs can get incorrect data. Additionally, the EHRs are inconsistent and not efficient.

In this post, we will look at Chartwell senior Homes, one of the top-ranked healthcare nursing homes in the United States. Then, to understand the impact of EHR in the long-term health facility, we will look at the policies that enable it to achieve its goals smoothly and effectively.

Let us start with the organization’s human resource policy. Chartwell senior homes ensure they have HR policies as they are ethical principles and rules that organizations set up to recruit, train, evaluate, and reward individuals from their labor force. Having these policies composed is significant, so it is evident to all the strategies and applied reliably and decently across the association(Staggers et al., 2011). Safety and a health policy for all workers in the organization are fundamental. The policy describes safety and all emergency procedures for the employees.

Another major part of human resource policy for Chartwell senior homes organization is the employment classification policy. It can incorporate full-time, low maintenance, absolved, or non-excluded. These can direct their qualification for advantages and additional time pay, so it ought to be a rule strategy to specify all worker classifications, thus ensuring smooth running of the facility(Boehm et al., 2013). At-will employment policy is another primary policy embraced by the long-term care facility. Under this approach, we get that it emphasizes that both Chartwell senior homes organization and its employees can terminate the work relationship whenever and under any circumstance, giving a said reason is legal.
