Hi everyone!
The primary idea that is a take-away for me from the text would consist of making innovation a priority versus an afterthought. The monotony of carrying a product through completion for the general workflow structure is an easy trap for an organization to fall into. The reality is, what works today may not work tomorrow. Allowing competitors to focus on advancement unmatched leads to loss in overall market share and eventually compounds into a shrinking organization.
A second thought that carries substantial weight in my opinion is the expectation of openness and curiosity within an organization. An associate that carries a unique curiosity on a role or process outside of their own should be valued and embraced. Stunting these types of characteristics will not only lead to a decline in morale, but likely lead to stunting overall organization by creating silo work expectations.
Utilizing these two concepts in conjunction with an embracing culture to the aspects of change are largely conducive to the ideas of associate intrapreneurial-focused culture. By prioriziting innovation set into the foundation of the organizations culture, associates have a clear pathway of what is considered a road to success versus the ambiguous silo expectation of completing exclusively the tasks at hand. Further, including transparency on work-flow of interest to different areas of the organization allow not only insight on operational work-flow, but also networking collaborative opportunities within different areas of an organization.

Intrapreneurs are necessary for a company’s future success and the text has laid out some beneficial points for fostering intrapreneurship. The ideas which offer the most value to me are collective effort, be curious and open, nurturing environment and keep it simple (Anand, 2019). These ideas resonate with me because they emphasize the need for team members and leaders to engage in and foster an intrapreneurial environment.
A collective effort is necessary to an intrapreneurial environment. Without the support and effort of the team innovation would stall and become more difficult to achieve. The collective team working together allows for more meaningful discussion of ideas and sharing to encourage creative thinking. Being curious and open to new ideas means being opened to re-imagining the way things are done and allowing new ideas and creativity to flourish (Anand, 2019). Being open to new ideas requires a nurturing environment where the ideas can grow into new innovations. Lastly, keeping it simple and not overcomplicating the problem. Asking basic questions to get basic answers that the intrapreneurial team can then focus on addressing could reveal some truly innovative solutions.
