Instructions and steps for the assignment

1. This is a group assignment. You can form a team of up to 4 members.

2. For this assignment, please read chapter 3 to understand the concepts and tools and to get ideas for the poster.

3. Select four companies from one industry and prepare a vertical analysis of their financial statements for the past 5 years. (Please see this source which can be given to make the analysis uniform: https://www.begintoinvest.com/common-size-analysis-different-way-analyze-balance-sheet-financial-statements/

4. Follow the Rubric below to prepare an attractive poster showing your observations, learning, analysis and evaluation of the company performances for the study period. Be Creative!! (Do not use the Financial Statements on the poster; you need to creatively compare the companies on six different indicators).

5. It is important to prepare visuals, diagrams or pictures to illustrate your observations, learning, findings, analysis and evaluation.

6. Research from relevant academic sources like research papers, journal articles and company websites is expected.

7. Submit an attractive and neatly with which the poster were prepared

8. The printed poster will be brought on the date of the poster presentation and the team will be responsible to display and explain the poster. Hard Copy of Posters must conform to the following requirements

a. Posters Maximum dimensions = 4 ft. X 4 ft. (1.219 m X 1.219 m)

b. Font size must be readable from a distance.

c. Grammar and spelling must be correct.
