Mid Term Report

(25 Marks).

Question.

Consider, you are hired as a manager by a firm in Oman to extend its business in the GCC region from Oman. The business owner is now seeking the growth of the company beyond Oman.

a) You are free to imagine about one of the businesses, i.e. a construction company in Sohar, a production unit making date-syrup in Sohar, bank Bank etc.

b) You have to scan the business environment of one of the GCC country using Google search engine, i.e. Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE or Saudia Arabia. So that business may grow beyond Oman for the company you are hired as a manager.

Write a brief report as per the following format about the factor impacting the chosen company’s business growth while operating in one of the GCC country listed above.

Report Format

1) Introduction of Country (50-100 words).

For example, Bahrain or Qatar.

2) Products and services of the firm (50-100 words)

For example, you can choose the Nesto grocery store and talk about its expansion in the GCC country of your choice.

3) Political factors (150- 200 words)

Write the key political factors that may impact your business’s growth while operating in any of the GCC countries of your choice.

4) Economic factors (150- 250 words)

Write the critical economic factors that may impact your business’s growth while operating in any of the GCC countries of your choice.

5) Social factors (150- 250 words)

Write the critical social factors that may impact your business’s growth while operating in any other GCC country of your choice.

6) Technological factors (150- 250 words)

Write the critical technological factors that may impact your business’s growth while operating in any other GCC country of your choice.

7) Recommendations to the business owner (100 -150 words).
