Budget Proposal instructions

Instructions: Complete each part of the following Case Study. You will need to use Microsoft Word and Excel. Tables referenced in the case study are located in the Excel file labeled “Case Study Tables”. Label your written responses  including the Part #/Title.  A title page must be included in your submission. Analysis must be supported with scholarly, peer-reviewed journal articles (5 or more) as well as include Biblical integration. Answers are double spaced, essay/APA format, size 12 font, Romans Times, standard margins, page numbers, etc.  USE APA format.

 

Financial Management

 

Part 1  Financial Statement Analysis

 

Review Table 6.7, Statement of Revenue and Expenses.  In a minimum of one page, describe/analyze the statement in essay/APA format.  Explain each line item/section as if you are explaining to a new employee that does not understand the statement or each line items purpose.  Basically, summarize for someone in a way that is easy to understand and interpret what they reviewing and the important components.

 

Part 2 Budget Analysis

 

Review Table 7.6, Balance Sheet.  Explain in essay/APA format, minimum of one page the components of a balance sheet and its purpose. 

 

Part 3 Monthly Cash Budget

The average length of stay (ALOS) in a hospital is used to gauge the efficiency of a healthcare facility. The national average for a hospital stay is 4.5 days, according to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, at an average cost of $10,400 per day.

In one page or less, explain how length of staff is measures and why hospital length of stay is an important key indicator to montior.

 

Part 5 Hospital Readmissions

 

Hospital readmissions can negatively impact cost and patient outcomes. Predictors of 30-day readmissions have been primarily identified using medical claims data.  In a minimum of one page, explain the impact that readmissions can have on a hospital.  What can hospitals do to prevent/avoid readmissions within 30 days?
