Part A – Communication Contexts

Directions: In this course we examine communication theories relating to several communication contexts. Refer to the course text to help you understand each of these contexts, then provide a definition for each communication context.

· Intrapersonal: Intrapersonal Communication is the interior idea or correspondence. This is essentially implies correspondence occurring inside a person.

· Interpersonal: Interpersonal Communication alludes to the trade of data that happens between more than two individuals. Everybody conveys unexpectedly; knowing this angle and understanding the foundation of correspondence is indispensable to impart. Moreover, since correspondence is dynamic or always showing signs of change, understanding the hypothesis behind correspondence aids powerful correspondence. This can be communicated through relational or intrapersonal correspondence, regardless of whether if it is a gathering getting or even internet-based life. Within communication theory, I would see the behavior encompassing all three traditional guidelines: law, system and rules approach. Using one or all three would define the setting in which one would be communicating in. Communication behavior is dynamic and is constantly changing to the environment. When using the law approach, I would describe the fact and or guidelines of the law. For example, when discussing statistics would be communication with a law approach. The systems approach can be described as an opinion or belief. When debating with a friend of a colleague the system approach is the communication behavior. With that being said this could also be combined with one or more other communication guidelines. Lastly, the rules approach guideline refers to how people act in their environment. For example, the communication in which is broadcasted or communicated in one's culture. Each approach has their role in communication behavior. Depending on the environment and the intent the guideline will change.

· We begin our exploration of Communication Theory by covering theories pertaining to “Communication and the Self.” What are the benefits of beginning with these intrapersonal communication theories?

Two hypotheses were talked about with concerning to intrapersonal correspondence, composed administration, and emblematic interactionism hypothesis.
