The U.S. Based Company

Microsoft company is among the leading corporations in the U.S. The company's ethical conduct and considerations are embedded in its values and missions. Microsoft observes its ethical considerations by considering high legal compliance and tailoring different programs which empower communities on how they should raise complaints on the unethical conduct of any of its dealers (Alizadeh et al., 2020). It also embraces genuine character development among its employees to ensure they build a culture of trust within the organization.

Country of Choice

For a long time, the company has majored in its operations in the U.S. and with other U.S. development partners. China is one of the most potential destinations for the company to shift its focus and attention. According to Gaskarth (2015), China has a strategic market that the company can explore and a robust ethical culture through which it can run its operations. China has a conservative culture that can favor Microsoft's operation. The survival and excellence of the company in China can be learned from the success of Apple’s operation in China.

Classical Ethical Theory

These are different types of theories that examine the underlying reasons for virtue or conduct. The main theories in this context are utilitarian and deontological. In a utilitarian structure, decisions are made to make the most people happy. In contrast, in the deontological society, decisions are made concerning the obligation of duty rather than their intention to make people happy (Morrell & Dahlmann., 2022). Most of the policies in China are influenced by the government's decision-making and are more deontological.

Privacy

The right to privacy and a society's ethical values are intertwined and influenced y a government's willingness to control private life. One o the most defining features of the market difference between the U.S. and the Chinese is that the latter has passed laws that give the state a swooping power to monitor businesses and individuals.

Protection of Intellectual Property

There are rights that are passed to control the ownership of investment ideas. They include copyright and trademark law. The Microsoft company has used its financial muscles to build one of the leading brands in the electronics industry and has taken harsh measures to protect them. According to Roach (2022), the U.S. and China have been embroiled in IP rights, with the U.S. accusing China of not putting enough IP rights in place.

Protection of PPI

Payment protection insurance is a set of insurance policies that protect an organization or individual if they fail to pay a debt due to circumstances out of their control. They affect how a business would consider an area of investment. Before moving the company operations to China, Microsoft should conduct an in-depth analysis of the country's PPI, and it is after its operations.
