When making investment decisions, companies should analyse the markets in which they are likely. Microsoft company, one of the leading corporations in the U.S. Microsoft observes its ethical considerations by considering high legal compliance and tailoring different programs which empower communities on how they should raise complaints on the unethical conduct of any of its dealers (Alizadeh et al., 2020). When deciding on the country to move operations to, the company will have to understand its overall economic environment.

For a long time, the company has majored in its operations in the U.S. and with other U.S. development partners. China is one of the most potential destinations for the company to shift its focus and attention. According to (Gaskarth, 2015), China has a strategic market that the company can explore and a robust ethical culture through which it can run its operations. China has a conservative culture that can favor Microsoft's operation. The survival and excellence of the company in China can be learned from the success of Apple’s operation in China.

These are different types of theories that examine the underlying reasons for virtue or conduct. The main theories in this context are utilitarian and deontological. In a utilitarian structure, decisions are made to make the most people happy. In contrast, in the deontological society, decisions are made concerning the obligation of duty rather than their intention to make people happy (Morrell & Dahlmann., 2022). Most of the policies in China are influenced by the government's decision-making and are more deontological. The company will be moving from a utilitarian environment to a deontological one meaning that it has to change most of its policies.

The right to privacy and a society's ethical values are intertwined and influenced y a government's willingness to control private life. One o the most defining features of the market difference between the U.S. and the Chinese is that the latter has passed laws that give the state a swooping power to monitor businesses and individuals. In China, Microsoft has to content with a competitive environment where decision making may be monitored by the sate a move which they are not used in the U.S.

According to Roach (2022), the U.S. and China have been embroiled in IP rights, with the U.S. accusing China of not putting enough IP rights in place. Poor IP laws threaten creativity and innovation .

Therefore, the company will require a comprehensive comparative human resource analysis to define a new training manual. It will have to admit to incur the cost of international assignments, especially at the management level . All these activities come with cots which are needed to make operations smooth and productive.

Despite the many challenges which Microsoft can face in the Chinese market, there are chances that it can still perform well given the performance of other multinationals in the country. Using its competitive advantage mechanisms, such as product strength, will make the company stand out in the market. More importantly, it is an opportunity for the company to learn about the new environment and widen its operations.
