OBJECTIVE: TO DEMONSTRATE UNDERSTANDING OF THE ANTIGENIC PROPERTIES OF THE BLOOD

GROUPS A, B, AND O.

DIRECTIONS:

1.) Note in the boxes provided below the antibodies (not antigens) found in each blood type, as well

as whether or not the blood type in the first column would react to mixing with the blood types

in the horizontal second row. I.e. if someone with type O blood received type O blood in a

transfusion, would there be a reaction or not? If yes, write: Reaction; If no, write: No Reaction.

2.) Draw or describe the antigenic reaction that you have indicated would take place in some of the

situations described in the table. Use the space underneath the table.
