You must post notes by midnight each Wednesday. Your notes can be informal, but they should be coherent, and reflect on the following components in at least 300 words per post:
· What did you read/watch?
· What kind of text was it? (In this class, we can consider a "text" as not only a written product, but also a video, image, or other medium.)
· What is its provenance? Is it an article in a mainstream media publication; was it published in a scholarly journal; was it embedded in a website? How do you know where it was from?
· Summarize briefly and in your own words the main purpose or focus of the text.
· Write about what your own thoughts and reactions are to the text.
· Incorporate a quote from the text and reflect on it.
· Create an MLS citation for the piece. Use this link at the Purdue Owl for all forms of MLA formatting. This site should become your best friend to learn correct formatting.
