You are probably familiar with several local music radio stations. However, some of you may not have listened to NPR, or National Public Radio. Listen to ONE of the following hour-long NEWS-oriented programs or podcasts on NPR's local affiliate, KERA (90.1 FM) and then write a blog post about the medium: "Think" "This American Life" "All Things Considered" "The Diane Rehm Show" "Fresh Air" "Latino USA" 

Note: You should NOT listen to the trivia program "Ask Me Another" or any other type of entertainment-oriented programming. Choose one of the shows listed above.

· Summarize the program you listened to and evaluate whether or not the program was informative. Were there special guests providing commentary, and did those guests provide unique insight?

· Did you learn something you did not know before?

· Were all sides on the topic represented?

· Did you perceive any bias? If so, how so?

· If you did not notice a bias, what made the coverage well-rounded?

· How does this program compare to what you've seen/heard/read in other news media, such as newspapers and television? Did you enjoy getting your news this way?
