There has been an information explosion in health care over the last 10-15 years. Knowledge expansion has been a result of research related to healthcare and the implication to practice. However, not all information is reliable and nurse leaders must be able to discern which findings best supports evidence-based action in relation to problems noted. It is more important than ever for advanced practice nurses to understand the essential information presented in this course. The foundation provided will enable you to critically appreciate the findings from research studies, afford you the ability to conduct data analyses and provide you the knowledge to make evidence-based changes in healthcare delivery.
Using your current understanding of research and statistical application, consider a problem you have noted in healthcare and/or nursing practice. Present the problem and findings from two articles related to the problem you have identified. Describe the intervention you would use to address such a problem in your current clinical setting.
