LAB REPORT DUE:
No lab report - 0 score.
NO EXTENSIONS, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Font: Times New Roman; Font size - 12
Spacing: double spaced; Margins: 1 inch
Pages: minimum 10
A minimum of 5 references is required. Cite original research papers, the textbook or lab manual only. Use PubMed to find research papers. Papers without properly incorporated references will receive 0 score.
When summarizing someone's research in a sentence, you must incorporate the reference at the end of this sentence, for example (Watson and Crick, 1953). Use http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov /pubmed.

Title, Author, Date
Abstract: Summarize your paper in one paragraph.
Introduction -pertaining to the experiments you conducted with Drosophila in BIOL302 lab, monohybrid and dihybrid crosses. State your hypothesis here
Material and methods - list all the materials used and their source, describe all methods used, eg. how did you grow flies, set up crosses, transfer flies, count the offspring; how and when did you use fly nap .
Results: write down all crosses set up with Drosophila - those that demonstrated X-linked inheritance pattern and autosomal inheritance pattern (there are four P l crosses to start with); you must include all expected Fl, then the actual results (number of flies of each type that came out). Deal with one cross at a time: P l, Fl, F2 -expected; then actual results in a table.
Calculate Chi-square and p value for both the monhybrid results. State whether you will accept or reject your hypothesis.
Discussion -discuss your results in context of what is known about autosomal inheritance patterns in Drosophila and humans. Cite original research papers (see above). 2-3 substantial paragraphs.
References: At the end of the lab report, list the references alphabetically. Use the following format. eg.
