Berry Bug Blaster is a privately own company that has been operational since 2005. The company deals with pest control, where it offers its customers a one-time treatment or a monthly service plan. It also sells some chemical products set to be used by the client's chemical to control pests in their homes, offices, and residential areas without any dependency on staff from the company. The chemicals can be used to eradicate various pests such as roaches, termites, ants, scorpions, rodents, snakes, bedbugs, and snakes. In 2005 the company demonstrated a negative income of $380.65 but later portrayed a positive trend with a net income of $293475.56 and by $493139.75 in 2008.
The company has searched for the best strategies to use to increase its customers through its services. The expansion of the company to a wider market will increase the number of employees working in the company as the number of customers will also increase. It offers the customers products such as chemical sprays. The chemical sprays are used to eradicate bugs by spraying the chemical in the areas with the bugs.
The individual customers can use the products without any aid from the companies’ staffs if the bugs to be eliminated are in small number. However, in circumstances where the bugs have infested the houses and facilities in large numbers, they can hire pest control companies that use the same products. The clients can also use the spray to effectively control aphids and spider mites. It is also a fantastic plan cleaner as the clients use it to remove mold, dust, and dirt that interferes with photosynthesis.
The company has focused on expanding its business into the larger market to earn more customers. It has various hard options to consider from such as IPO and the acquisition of another company in the same industry. However, for the company to venture successfully into the new market, it needs to work on its internal and external communication. The company has a web page where information such as contact information and shop outlets is shared with the public.
Berry bug blaster developed its website, and it intended it to be an informative site for the company's pest control services. The customers can find updated information on the company, such as the contact info and the features of all the current advertised specials and promotions (Berry's Bug Blaster 2021). It is one of the strategies commonly used by other businesses in the same industry and other industries. The websites have a great value communicating to the customers, with the intended audience being direct customers dealing with the pests or entities that have had experiences dealing with pest control.
Berry bug blaster attempts to attract its customers through the websites, especially those that need the specialty services, through offering promotional pricing. They have also portrayed a detailed process under which they make all their potential clients place their dissidence pest-free. Some of the goals of the developed websites include bringing in new customers when the pest control companies are searched through the search engines, being easily found by the previous customers that need assistance with a new issue, communicating to their customers of the available services and promotions in the business at the moment and providing the customers with contact details and address info which is also a way that they can contact an employee or customer care provider directly.
A website is the most powerful communication tool for most businesses today. The website is the reflection of the organization's image as a business. It is also the external communication strategy of the company. It is also a digital shop front for the business, and it is the first place where the potential customers or clients go and make their judgment on the business. Berry bug blaster has a website that communicates to potential customers by displaying their services, their products, and their contact information. The website is also a major communication channel for the company since it can also sell its products online, such as chemical sprays, to the customers. The shop outlets are limited to make sales, while online, the customers can order their products at their convenience.
However, there are ethical concerns in Berry bug blaster on the safety precautions of the employees and the customers. The concerns include appropriate use of the spay pieces of equipment and the chemicals, including wearing protective gears when sparing the chemicals (Carvalho, 2017). The ethical concerns include proper gears such as masks and clothing, adhering to the instruction on the use of the chemicals, and proper disposal of the harmful materials. It is important to have proper preventive actions such as securing the areas with the chemicals properly and ensuring that humans and pests stay out of the affected area. Another safety precaution is proper disclosure of the risks of the chemicals and drugs to the consumers and neighbors (Sharifzadeh et al., 2018). The company does not adhere to these ethical issues properly from time to time. If these measures are not adhered to properly, the chemicals cause health concerns on the customers, with the kids being the most affected population due to mischiefs. Proper communication between the company and the clients can help reduce such cases, thus improving the quality of life of their customers through preventative measures. Another ethical issue is the termination or the removal strategies of the specific pest or rodent. Each of the employees needs to use the proper chemicals that are needed to remove the specific pest. The employees also need to employ the proper precautions and adhere to the proper procedures based on the specified environment that they are tasked with (Meftaul et al., 2020). The chemicals used on an outside cause significant and unintended damages to the clients. The employees also need to use environment-friendly measures that can be used to capture the animals such as snakes without causing any harm to them. Proper measures and precautions can be used to avoid causing any harm to the animals in the relocation process.
As communication is key in enhancing ethical practices within the company, Berry bug blaster should ensure that its employees are properly trained to educate the customers on the precautions, proper use, and the effects of the chemicals. They should ensure that all the clients who remove the pests on their own understand the safety precautions (Mubushar et al., 2019). They should be aware of the potential risks they are prone to and the hazards associated with each of the products. They should also ensure proper charging of each of the products and services to ensure that the customers choose the right plans and not the cheapest and the less effective way.
The employees should not lander the competition and manipulate the clients to use their services as it is unethical and ruins the company's reputation. The employees should also ensure the clients are aware of any structural damages caused by the termites or other pest problems. The chemical packages have instructions on using them, but not all the customers can read and write. Other customers may be ignorant to read the instruction, which fails the mode of communication. To ensure that the clients reach the message, visual and face-to-face education when purchasing the product should be employed.
