Benchmark- Retail Store Major Project Proposal

Our Mission Statement here at The Retail Store offers our customers convenience, quality, and great prices. By doing so, we strive to make every community a better place to live. As your Project Manager, my goal is to continue our growth by adding a new store, expand our existing stores, increase sales by at least $5 million, expand our core product offering by 10% within the next two years. To achieve our goals and continue to live our vision of being the leading retailers measured by fiscal results and community improvement advocacy within every small community, we will be expanding our current offerings by adding in-house Coffee and Flower Shop.

The in-house coffee and flower shop will provide an incredible shopping one-stop-shop experience for all of our customers. We will provide more jobs back to our community, and it will also provide us the ability to expand all of our current stores, expand our goods and attract more customers. In addition, the revenue from our expansions will give us the funds to be able to open up a fourth location within the next five years. We will continue to give back to the communities that have provided us their loyalty over the years so that we will partner with the Boys & Girls Club, and we will participate in raising funds to give back to our communities, we will participate in Christmas events and rebuilding our communities by volunteering labor hours. On the following page, you will find my project proposal for the continued growth of Th Retail store.

What business problem does the project solve?

Currently, The Retail Store requires expanding its stores, increase product offering by 10%, increase sales by $5 million, and continued by giving back to our deserving communities and provide jobs back to them.

How does this project align with our organization strategy?

We will continue providing convenience, quality, and incredible prices, including more offerings and a place where they can enjoy a coffee or buy flower arrangements in this one-stop-shop experience. We are providing many great opportunities to give back to the amazing communities that have provided us their loyalty over the years.

What are the major deliverables of the project?

About 250 more product offerings for our customers, from various coffee and drinks, mugs, tumblers, baked goods, flowers, arrangements. Three store expansions to add the Coffee and Flower shop. A new location within five years and participation from The Retail Store to provide back to 10 low-income communities

What is the impact of not doing this project?

The Retail Store will continue business as usual, will not be able to provide more product offerings to the customer, and will not provide additional resources back to the communities who have kept us in service all these years.

What are the three major risks for this project?

Operational Risk by not being able to source more product selection. External risks of not being able to obtain permits issued on time. Schedule Risk due to the delay of permit, our timeframe of completion will change.

How will we measure success?

Meeting Budget, Meeting Schedule, and Expanding our products, provide excellent customer service, give back to communities, and have customer satisfaction.
