Business experts Mumby and Kuhn authored the book Introduction to Organizational Communication intending to challenge the importance of business communication on organizational performance. This book deeply explores several areas regarding organization starting from the introduction of business communication, its history, and the approaches of communication research. The book covers widely organizational communication ethics and how employees and managers can ethically communicate with the business organization. Besides, the book comprehensively discusses the classical theories of organizational communication including the classical perspective, human relation theories, human resource theories, and modern theoretical approaches on organizational communications. The author’s main aim is to drive and prove the contribution of business communication towards the success of business performance. For instance, an organization that understands the importance of business organization and chooses to employ the most appropriate approach of communication can without doubt realize a reputable profitable performance.

This is an indispensable work for any professional business research study.

The authors present the role of communication in promoting work effectiveness in an organization through the American Management Association Scheme. He argues that the guide is designed as a supplement guide to other more guides such as the America Psychology Association business of business and management communication. This guide extensively covers important and various business topics such as procurements, accounting, financial reports, business management, and other business-related topics. Besides, the author insists that guide presents additional writing guides on business areas such as citing financials, company report formatting guides, business professional approaches, and business writing and integrity issues within the business context of communication in business communication in organizational operations.

This source is very crucial and forms an indispensable study resource for my thesis work because it provides basic information to business operations and communication towards a professional study and research projects.

Radovic, M. (2018). The importance of communication in business management. Belgrade Serbia.

Radovic, a Business Strategist, and Economist presented the importance of communication in business management at the 7th International Scientific Conference on Employment, Education, and Entrepreneurship at Belgrade Serbia. The economist covers intensively communication and business management by giving several ideas, facts, opinions, and feelings of the managers at the work about organizational performance and effectiveness. The economist clarifies the contribution of the effectiveness of communication on the business operation as should be outlined by the management and the executive level of management. In his arguments, the author presents communication and the application of a theoretical perspective on communication and business management operations. The theory of Social Cognitive and behavior by Albert Bandura (1986) and the theoretical model of individual behavior.

This research article is important in my research on the importance of communication in business operations as it gives in-depth information and coverage of the business management and the relational perspective of communication in business operations.

The article starts by giving a case study of the business manager of the purchasing department who was newly employed and given an objective of cutting management cost and the role of communication is critically outlined in that case. The article continues by further outlining the role of communication in business management including the provision of clarity, the building of relationships among the hierarchical levels of employees and managers, building work commitment, and helping in defining organizational expectations. Most importantly, the article covers a comprehensive Communication-Process Model highlighting different levels of communication from sender-channel-receiver-feedback. Furthermore, the articles cover the common Missteps in Communications that the communication model an organization chooses to employ can cause and recommends adjustment. And finally, the article concludes by analyzing the formal and information system of communication and how they can be applied within the organizational operation.

This article is very important and an indispensable source for anyone doing a study on communication and management.

This a presentation done by Gregg online Learning classes. The presenter presents an in-depth process of communication with the aspect of a business organization. The presentation narrates the relationship between business communication and organization performance. The presenter insists that business communication is the building block towards the success of organizational performances. Further, the presenter gives insights on the direction of business communication and their applications in the real business operations and success of the organizations. The most important aspect of the function of business communication summarized in the video presentation is the leading, rationalizing, problem-solving, conflict management, and most importantly the importance of organizational policy compliance and ethical standards. It goes without doubt that all companies make regular meetings to discuss their daily operational issues, this business communication.

This presentation clip has an essential contribution to my topic of study and any other business professional research on the contribution of business communication and the latter performance of the organization.

Behavioral economist and professor of psychology at Duke University Dan Ariely presents two-eye opening experiments that reveal most of the unexpected attitudes about work. In his presentation, the professor unearths how business communication in an organization motivates workers to act in a certain way in their performances. For example, the economist explains that individuals get motivated by recognition than they are by money. This means that managers and organizational executives should on regular occasions communicate to their employees either directly or indirectly in a way that is giving them recognition to instill work motivation in them, thus positive performance. In his TED talk, Ariely points out various experiments performed on the recognition to demonstrate on the workers who want to be valued and recognized than just being paid.

This TED talk is very essential for my work topic as it contributes a unique experiment about the relationship of organizational success and recognition through business communication from the managers towards the employees. Therefore, the TED talk is crucial for business research.

Firstly, the article highlights different types of communication that an organization can employ in its operations including the Internal Upward, internal Downward, Internal Lateral, and External business communication methods. The articles give a variety of business communication types suitable for every business organization. Furthermore, the article presents a deep discussion of the reasons why business communication is a powerful factor in the success of a business. Besides, the ways to boost digital workplace productivity with business internal communication are as well covered with the article e.g. sharing knowledge, facilitation of innovation, focus on problem-solving, encouragement of disagreement, and finally engagement among employees. Lastly, the article finalizes by giving 20 interesting business communication facts based on verified statistics. This blog is very crucial in understanding the importance of business communication in the success of an organization.
