Summative assignment 1

This assignment is worth 40% of all marks for this course and you have to complete it individually.

Submission and Deadline: You should submit your assignment as a PDF document using Turnitin on Moodle by the deadline of Monday 15th March 2021 at 14.00h CET

Word count: Every student should write one essay of between 1,500 to 1,750 words (not including the bibliography) on the following title. Part a should be between 1,000 and 1,250 words and part b should be between 500 and 750 words.

Title:

Part a: What remedies exist for the breach of a contract and under what circumstances would a claimant seek to make use of these different solutions?

Part b, problem question: Whilst drunk Tom won an auction unintentionally. The auctioneer knew that Tom was drunk. Is Tom expected to pay for the item that he won in the auction? Justify your answer.

Research and referencing: Your work should be fully referenced using the Harvard referencing system
