Task

· Individual Written Assignment: TQM STRATEGY

· You are required to develop a TQM implementation report for the Managing Director of one of the following Companies:

· H&M

· NIKE

· LUFTHANSA

· HARLEY-DAVIDSON

· BENTLEY

· CATERPILLAR

Your report will cover the following:

1. Situation Analysis of the Company & Product: Customer orientation, clearly defined strategy, employees satisfaction, partnerships with suppliers and companies of the same industry, level of innovation.

2. Analysis of TQM implementation in terms of:

· Customer focus. Customer satisfaction controls (KPI´s /regular surveys).

· Long Term Strategy. Identify the 3-5 years strategy of the Company

· Employees empowerment. Evaluate the benefits that employees enjoy in terms or involvement and empowerment

· Continuous Improvement. Which continuous improvement methods has the Company implemented

· Lean Management and or Six Sigma. Assess the level of implementation of Lean Management and/or Six Sigma at the Company

3. Considering your findings, which proposals should you make?

· Wordcount: 2000.-2.500 words

· Cover, Table of Contents, References and Appendix are excluded from the total word count.

· Font: Arial 11 pts.

· Text alignment: Justified.

· The in-text References and the Bibliography have to be in Harvard’s citation style.
