HOW TO TWIST A BALLOON DOG

1- Latex Balloon Of Any Color

(Preferably: Size 260Q, Brand Qualatex)

1- Manual Balloon Pump

Materials:

First, take the tip of the pump and insert the balloon opening. Hold on to the balloon opening and tip of balloon pump while pumping.

Inflate the balloon and leave about 4 fingers wide at the tip. Let a small amount of air out, just to make the balloon soft, but not deflated. Then, quickly tie the balloon.

THE FIRST STEPS

Start with about 4 fingers wide. This will be the first section to form the dog’s nose.

Twist the balloon about four times to secure the first section.

After twisting the first section, complete two more sections. Hold on to these sections as you twist or they will untwist. You should have three sections. See Figure 5

Take sections 2 and 3. Twist about 4 times to secure them together.

THE NOSE AND EARS

You should have the dog’s nose and ears.

Next, measure again about 4 fingers wide and twist the balloon about 4 times.

*Tip for Step 5: To keep your sections from untwisting , hold on to the balloon against your body while twisting.

After twisting that section, complete two more sections. Hold on to these sections as you twist or they will untwist. You should have three sections. See Figure 9

Take sections 2 and 3. Twist about 4 times to secure them together.

THE FRONT LEGS

You should have the dog’s front legs.

Lastly, measure again about 4 fingers wide and twist the balloon about 4 times.

Take sections 2 and 3. Twist about 4 times to secure them together. (Section 1 is underneath my hand.)

THE BACK LEGS & TAIL

There is no need to twist the tail, it will be visible after making the dog’s back legs.

You are done! You have twisted your first balloon dog!
