Task

Assignment 2- Digital transformation of a sector:

• This is an individual assignment

• You are requested to discuss the following points, applying the concepts from the course, and supporting it with specific examples.

o Select a sector: finance, education, entertainment, media, health, fashion, etc.

o Discuss how digitalization has impacted the evolution of businesses in this sector in the last years:

▪ Explain how new value is created (for customers/clients and organizations) through digitalization, how existing business models have

changed, which new business models have entered the sector, and which ones have declined or disappeared.

▪ Discuss if new revenue models or revenue streams have emerged in the sector and support it with examples.

▪ Explain what each of these concepts mean: disintermediation, reintermediation and servitization. Are there any examples within this

sector?

o Conclude by outlining the main existing transformations in the sector and some important future transformations or impacts of technology on it,

that you can foresee.

• Expected table of contents:
