Australia’s Top 10
Due Date: Wednesday, May 12 (midnight)
Many things have changed over the last 100 years in Australia. Your task is to express some of the “Top Events” through a timeline. You will feature Ten (10) events with details about Australia’s history and people.
Timeline Requirements:
#1. Create a timeline of 10 major milestones in the history of Australia
#2 Arrange them IN ORDER by the years they happened
#3 Each event (total of 10) must include:
· Date/Title of Event
· Explain the event and why it was important in history (two sentences-IN YOUR OWN WORDS-DO NOT COPY & PASTE)

Event Example:
1606: First Dutch Expedition
In 1606 it is believed that Dutch explorer Willem Janszoon landed on the Northwestern tip of Queensland. This is important because it allowed Australia to be discovered by Europeans and lead to the colonization of Australia.
