IFSM 300

See assignment instructions for what the title page requires. Feedback previously provided in Stage 2.

Even if revisions aren’t made, you should be submitting a complete report with all sections to date – not just Stage 3.

III. Requirements

A. Stakeholder Interests:

MTC’s business practice is to give exceptional counseling consulting services and suggestions to its clients by utilizing exceptionally talented consultants and remaining side by side of new business ideas and innovation unclear wording – what does this mean? or potentially growing new business ideas and best practices of its own. While MTC is anticipating winning two large contracts, it should enlist an extra 75+ consultants all around quickly (Almgren, 2014). Being implemented is a fast hiring framework – it’s a business process to fulfill with time controls and contract outstanding people from everywhere throughout the world to add to this successful business. This information does not introduce specifically what this table provides and why it is important to this report. General information is not needed and has been provided previously in the report in the appropriate areas. Revise.

Role

Specific problem related to the current hiring process

How a technology solution to support the hiring process could address the problem

1.CEO

Trained staff should be employed quickly to satisfy current contracts and support future contracts at MTC. Yes, but you need to state this in terms of how the current hiring process is causing a problem in this area.

The system will quickly identify qualified cCandidates and identify every one of them according to a quailed?? position. Unclear what this means – provide clear explanation to support specific problems in column 2.

2.CFO

Having financially actual innovation arrangements that advance present procedures and empower upcoming functionality is critical to the achievement of MTC. Revise to present current problems – use information from the CFO’s interview – if she needs a cost-effective solution, etc., how does the current manual process cause a problem – for example

New system will decrease cost by reducing paper applications, online appraisals and filing of candidate’s paperwork. ok

3.CIO

Our appropriated??-wrong word workforce implies we are dependent on mobile; this gets a few challenges term of versatility, support, and solutions that present well on the mobile appliancedevice. Unclear wording – revise to clearly present the current problems – I think you have the right idea but have not clearly presented the information. Comment by Betty Ring: Report must consistently be written in third person – see assignment formatting instructions.

The system will be a self-updated?? and looked after element-I don’t know what this means. A versatile application will go with the full version of the product for simple entry and portability. Revise

4.Director of Human Resources

We recognize we can never again meet the contracting and staffing requests with manual procedures in MTC-this is stated as a specific problem. I am similarly inspired by solutions that are anything but difficult to-utilize and can interface with our current frameworks and enhance Processes. You’re on the right track – why does the manual process get in the way of meeting staffing needs?

The hiring procedure will be made as much as 50% faster (source?)by method for mechanized candidate screening and choice. The interface will be consistent and easy to understand.

5.Manager of Recruiting

We're in a market of competitiveness for IT ability and need to have the capacity to employees proficiently, procedure process? candidates quickly, and change (change what?) to make a job proposal to the best applicant before the breaking of competition (word/s missing) him/her up at MTC

The new system will effectively and precisely recognize the best possible candidates for the correct position per auto screening and occupation matching. Ok – be sure this aligns with clear presentation of problem in column 2. When distinguished notices of assessment results and testing-sentence fragment..

6. Recruiters

All (what?) are exceptionally time complex, and the present procedure is not as effective as it could be in MTC. Applications and resumes can lose all sense of directionbe lost in conventional mail or buried in the email; and when a hiring manager calls us, we normally cannot immediately give the status of where a candidate is in the process. Good – you’re presenting specific current problems here.

There will be no loss of paperwork and stir up (what does stir up refer to?) of information since all applicant information will be electronically recorded, stored for simple point – not sure what that refers to? and instant access.

7.Administrative Assistant

As you can imagine whileWhen employing volume is up, I'm covered in form-filling and attempting to keep every one of the candidates and their resumes traditional??, track their position in the process, and guarantee everybody has what they need is challenging. Right idea but put more clearly in your own words from the interview.

Resumes, first letters and all other applicants’ "paperwork" will electronically (words/ missing?) presented by the applicant and put away for simple search and access. Process notices will consequently be conveyed to the appropriate person in the wake of being employed-unclear sentence.

8. Hiring Manager

The hiring manager experiences issues with other recruitment staff (Peslak, 2012). Usually, the individual accountable for organizing sets of desires or settling on a formal decision about who is acquired contributes insufficient effort to find the most qualified competitor. Unclear – what specifically does the hiring manager mention in his interview are problems with the current manual hiring process?

Hiring software can modernize shapes?, grade hopefuls and outfit HR professionals in some direction-unclear. In any case, it (what does “it” refer to?) generally does not have the refinement to choose if a confidant?? would be a better than average representative for a specialist position.

Column 2 should contain a specific challenge related to the hiring process. Information is provided in the stakeholder interviews. Although stakeholders may also indicate their hopes or expectations for the new system, what this column is focused on is identifying the current challenges. Then in the third column, you can provide an appropriate explanation of how a technology solution to support the hiring process can address the challenge – fix the problems, in other words. In some cases, you have the correct problem and how the hiring system will address them, but in others, it is unclear what the specific current problem is or what the system will do to address. Wrong, missing words detract from correctly conveying information. Revise for Final report.

B. Defining Requirements

The table below shows the User Requirements and System Performance Requirements and stakeholders' names to which they execute a particular necessity-this fragment doesn’t make sense.

As noted in the assignment instructions: (Provide an introductory sentence, copy the table, and complete the Requirements Statement and Stakeholder columns. No additional information should be entered into the first column, Requirement ID.) The characteristics you listed for user requirements are actually areas for system performance requirements. The use of terms in column 1 in the incorrect locations indicates to me that you have access to an older version of this assignment from a previous semester. I’m grading this based on applying the grading rubric criteria; however, this re-use of material and submitting as original work for this class is a violation of UMUC policies.

User Requirements This area is to identify key requirements indicated by the stakeholders. User (functional) relates to what the user needs the system to do. Examples of user requirements are contained in the Week 5 Content on Requirements. The 5th requirement requires one related to reporting. What information might need to be extracted from the hiring system by a user? Here’s the example from Week 5 content. “The system shall provide the user with a report of all purchases made via the website.”

System Performance Requirements: These relate to the how and don’t relate to a specific task but how the system will perform. These characteristics were part of the Week 6 discussion as well as described in the Week 5 Course Content.

Week 6 Content contains Information Systems Security – that talks about various protection methods.

This is about defining requirements for the new system – If the wording is too general or covers a lot of different things, it will be difficult to use to identify whether a potential solution can address these.

Review information on writing clear requirement statements provided in the assignment instructions and course content. Revise for final report.

References: Stage 3 required at least two resources – one from an external source and one from the Course content (not including the case study or assignment instructions.) APA style requires an in-text citation to show specifically where in your writing information from the source was incorporated. Reference list should then be cumulative and display all sources for the first 3 stages in alphabetical order. While you have 2 external sources listed, I don’t see where these articles on project management would provide the information you have attributed to them. You have no internal source from course content.

Formatting issues noted in previous Stages have not been addressed. Stage 4 will require a complete report with appropriate formatting and revisions. I recommend getting an early start – I also encourage you to take advantage of the Effective Writing Center.

As I’ve communicated previously, you must not use any material that is an earlier version of assignments or information from this class. Content you need is provided within the class section. External, valid academic sources should be used for additional research.

Please review comments above and let me know where you have questions. I’ll also post a recap for the class when I’ve finished grading. For Stage 4, work on clarifying any areas noted and producing a cohesive, well written, concise report that focuses on what is required in each section and incorporates revisions required from all stages. I’d recommend for Stage 4, you take advantage of the Effective Writing Center’s services to review drafts. I’m still available to review content, but their expertise in overall writing mechanics is very valuable. Here’s a link to their service. http://www.umuc.edu/current-students/learning-resources/writing-center/submit-your-paper/index.cfm They are limited in how many assignments they can accept per day so you need to plan ahead. Incorrect wording and grammatical errors are detracting from the readability of your assignment.
