Audit Analysis

Introduction:

As an educational leader, you can expect to be part of fiscal audits of your program, school or department at some point in your career. This assignment will give you the opportunity to get some practical experience on the process, by working with your current leadership.

Instructions: Meet with your principal or a school district financial officer and ask for a copy of the most recent audit that the school and/ or district has available.

Write a 3-5 page paper summarizing what you learned about school finance from information gathered, with emphasis on the audit process. Draw upon the course readings to support or refute your findings. In other words, note anything that the donation you gathered yielded that was aligned or misaligned with your course readings. Include the name, title and contact information of the school district representative you interviewed for this assignment.
