“Impact of media violence on children’s aggressive behavior” is an article by Tanwar and Priyanka (2016). The article discusses how watching violent videos leads to development of aggressive behaviors in children. They base their findings on their research and findings from other researchers. They conducted a research on 72 children divided into three groups. One group was exposed to violent videos; another group was exposed to non-violent videos and third was the control group. After two months there, behaviors were monitored. They report that children exposed to violent group were more aggressive to their peers. However, they claim that boys were more aggressive than the girls. They group the harmful effects of watching violent videos into three groups, which are learning aggressive attitude and behaviors, callousness to victims of violence and abnormal fear for being a victim of violence (Tanwar and Priyanka 2016).

According to the articles, when the children watch violent videos, they experiment what they see with their peers. They copy the violent acts because in most cases the violent characters are portrayed to be heroes and are rewarded for their acts, which makes them think that it is cool to be aggressive. Slowly by slowly they learn to be aggressive which later develops to a behavior. They also report that when a child is frequently exposed to violent acts, they are desensitized.
