The three main topics that I would love to research are:

· How does the healthcare system apply to the use of Big Data?

· Effect of Covid-19 on the global economy.

· How has technology improved life expectancy?

Instructions for Assignment week 2

The goal of your next process assignment is to come up with some questions based on the topic ideas you posted previously. Chapter 3 of The Bedford Researcher provides a variety of strategies for developing and focusing research questions, such as free-writing or drafting multiple versions of a question. As a way of broadening your research skills, see if you can try out at least one strategy that's new to you as you answer the questions below. The table of "Featured Writers' Research Questions" in Chapter 3 also has lots of examples of how students started with basic topics and then revised them into more focused questions.

For each topic that you listed in your last assignment, tell us: Why are you drawn to each of these issues or topics right now? What questions do you have about each? What motivates you to want to explore each one further? What would you like to gain by researching each topic or issue? What do you currently not understand or find confusing about each?

One way to decide on a topic or issue to research is to do a little bit of casual reading on it to see if you really enjoy reading about it. For example, try searching Google News (Links to an external site.) for keywords related to your topic and see what comes up. Also, don't worry about being locked into a topic or question. You have plenty of time and freedom to revise your question or change your topic, and most researchers find that their questions change or evolve as they learn more about their topics.
