If you opt to complete this assignment for more than one class, you will need to choose a DIFFERENT
article for each class. You will submit a separate assignment document for each class through the same
assignment portal at the same time.
Your submission MUST include the following:
1) Your submission word file will be named using the course name (e.g., International Marketing), the professor’s name (e.g., Boman), and your last name, e.g.:
“International_Marketing_Boman_Smith.docx” (Absent: -2 credits)

4) A PDF copy of the article you used must be attached. A link is NOT sufficient as links often fail. You must attach the actual PDF file. PDFs can be downloaded from the library databases which
house all three acceptable journals; ask a librarian for help if needed. (Absent: no credit given for
assignment)

Finding the right journal names:
It is your responsibility to find these specific journals and identify an article. These journals are available
online through the UCF online library database system (https://library.ucf.edu/ ) If you need help, please
contact a librarian. Even with librarian assistance, it is YOUR responsibility to ensure the correct journal is
chosen. The name of the journal should be EXACTLY as in one of the options above. Journal names are
easy to identify as they are listed at the top or bottom of the first page, and on at least every other subsequent
page (often, all subsequent pages). There are many journals with similar names or variations on these names;
those will NOT be accepted. Only these exact journals will be accepted. These are the leading journals in
the field and this assignment focuses on this quality research only.
Finding the right publication year:
The publication date of every article is listed on the first page. Only articles from 2018 are accepted. Others
will receive a score of zero.
Finding a Research Article:
Journals can contain a variety of article types such as editorial notes, introductions, commentaries on other
articles, or brief summaries of research areas. None of these is a Research Article; choosing one of these
will result in a score of zero. A research article:
A. Is at least 12 journal pages long. Selecting articles with fewer pages will result in a score of zero. B. Contains information about at least two studies conducted (field studies and secondary data analysis
OK), with details of the specific methods and results found in that article (not just summarizing
findings from other articles).
Answering the questions: Please do NOT repeat the questions in your submission, though you can use numbering or lettering to
identify your answers to each.
Please do not copy wholesale sentences or paragraphs or any other portion from the article into your
submission. That is plagiarism, and will receive a score of zero (even for one such copied portion). The task
is to answer the questions in your own words, demonstrating your understanding of the work. To ensure this
(and to ensure unique submissions) all assignments will be checked using Turnitin on Canvas.
Format:
Your submission may not exceed 2 pages, double spaced, 12 point font, 1” margins all around.
Any information written beyond these limits will not be read. Failure to follow these formatting instructions
will result in your paper being re-formatted, and any information beyond the space limit not being read. You
will also incur a 2 credit penalty.
Grading Criteria:
The work will be graded based on the quality and comprehensiveness of the answers, and the degree of
student comprehension (of the article) demonstrated therein. Copying of materials from the article itself or
any popular press (or other) mentions of the article will be considered plagiarism and will receive a score of
zero. Any overlap in student submissions in the present and/or prior semesters will be considered plagiarism
and/or unauthorized collaboration and will receive a score of zero. Work is expected to be the original work
of the student, and only the student, on their own, through their individual efforts.
