Case Study
Assignment Instructions:
• Your response to each of the case study questions should be fully developed,
thorough, and incorporate material covered in the course to support your
ideas/arguments.
• You must Include a Title Page; use paragraphs and headings to distinguish
between each question/section of the assignment.
• You must cite and reference the Textbook (other sources may be included
if desired); also include a list of your sources titled 'References' at the end of
your paper.
• The assignment is not to be comprised solely of your opinions and ideas. Use
in-text citations to avoid plagiarism, and also to demonstrate that you have
done some reflection to write a comprehensive essay. The “About Plagiarism
– External Resources” link, and the file titled "Citations, References, & Turnitin
similarity scores" in Moodle both have all the information to assist you with
citations and references.
• Double check spelling and grammar for major issues, and correct before
posting.
• Check the similarity score generated by Turnitin. If your similarity result is
above 25%, please revise and re-submit.
• Please format your essay so that it is easily readable ( for instance, use Times
New Roman, size 12 font double spaced). Do not use bold unless it is a
heading/title.
WRITING TIPS:
Take time to think carefully about each writing prompt or assignment before you
respond. The prompts are directed toward the unit material. Therefore, you will
need to read and reflect on the central theme presented in the material before you
respond. In other words, this is your time to consider the important concepts from
the unit and translate these ideas into practical actions and/or solutions.
Each response should include a minimum of a separate and distinct paragraph that
is well-developed and comprehensive (substantial). This means each paragraph
should have a topic sentence along with many supporting sentences that include
strong examples to support your main point(s). Utilize your critical thinking skills
and be honest but respectful in your writing. (TIP: A well-developed paragraph is
not a few sentences in length).
Strong reflective work is specific and includes examples from the unit, personal
experiences, and observations about the world within the writing. Responses that
receive full credit demonstrate depth by referencing class material, include
examples from personal experiences or current affairs, offer recommendations,
make new observations, and/or offer counterpoints to the topic.
To get started, first develop your main point then add material from the class
readings and from your own experiences, examples, or observations to back up
your point. Include something that you read, saw on the news, experienced
yourself, or observed.
