MGMT 601: Assignment #2 – Case Analysis

In this assignment you are required to explore a case assigned by the professor and analyze it in an essay format.

"Bengaluru Airport - Crisis Management During a Pandemic"

You are expected to look at the presented situation from multiple perspectives, including but not limited to:

1. What are some of the most critical issues that the BIAL leadership had to handle during the crisis?

2. How did Prem Watsa's stated expectations for Hari Marar influence the BIAL leadership's approach to managing the Covid crisis?

3. What leadership styles prevailed during the crisis? What is appropriate?

4. How would you prepare BIAL for the end of crisis and post-crisis stages? 

Avoid general statements, try to be as specific as possible, illustrating your points with references to the case content.

Try to be impartial in your analysis, beware of your biases which might affect your judgement. Ensure that you have demonstrated a thorough understanding of the course material.

Requirements:

· Paper should be at least 3000 words and should exhibit good writing and analytical skills, appropriate for an MBA level

· Paper must contain the following sections: introduction, main body, conclusion and recommendations, reference list

· Paper should employ at least 8-10 relevant citations from the textbook and other sources; in order to get A grades, you have to properly employ relevant research findings beyond the content of the textbook as well as some statistical data in your analysis

· You must demonstrate a solid knowledge of the course concepts as well as your ability to successfully apply them to dealing with real-life situations

· You must correctly and sufficiently use professional terminology related to the course

· Paper must be submitted via Turnitin timely; late submissions are penalized by 10%/day

This assignment holds a value of 20% of your final grade.

If you experience some extraordinary circumstances which affect your ability to complete the assignment on time, e.g., medical emergency, you should request an extension before the due date, providing supporting documentation
