pages.

3rd page: References

In this assignment don’t provide your answers with the tips that I have provided. You should

submit your assignment based on the APA style. It is why this instruction is provided in a pdf

format.

General Tips:

 Look at the lecture of “General APA Guidelines” (available on ELearning).  Look at the p.1 of handout “APA example from OWL Purdue” (available on ELearning).  https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/apa_style/apa_formatting_and_style_gui

de/general_format.html

1. Writing the Title Page (7 points):

Start your paper with a well-designed cover page that has a provocative/interesting title for your project based on the APA style.

 Title should be centered on the page, typed in 12 pt. Times New Roman font.  Should not be bolded, underlined, or italicized.  Author’s name and institution should be double-spaced and centered.  Author note is not required for your submission for Assignment 8.

 Include a page header (Title, all caps) in the upper left-hand corner and the page number in the upper right

 Running head is shortened version of the paper’s full title. o Should not exceed 50 characters including spaces and punctuation. o Should be in CAPITAL LETTERS. o On the title page, the running head should include the words “Running

head.”

o For pages following the title page, repeat the running head in all CAPS without “Running head.”

2. Writing the Abstract Page (10 points)

The abstract should contain the research topic, research questions, theory, data collection, methods, and key words (between 150 and 250 words). APA style (Below, type the paragraph of the paper summary in block format— without indentation).  Title of the paper should be Centered at the top of the page.

o Should not be bolded, underlined, or italicized. o Each new paragraph should be indented.

 Refer p.3 of handout “APA example from OWL Purdue” (available on ELearning).

3. Writing the References (8 points)

 Include a complete list of all references in APA format.  You should use at least 10 sources for your literature review (from the assignment

2 and 3).  This is a very important part of your paper, not just an afterthought.

 All articles that you read and include in your text must be cited. Furthermore, any

articles included in your works cited page must be cited in the text.

 Place the sources in alphabetical order and format the citations using APA format.

 Use Purdue OWL Online lab for help with formatting your reference list:
