Assignment 8 –

Imagine that you are a young adult in a hunter-gatherer society, at the band level of political and social organization. Unfortunately for you and your people, your traditional hunting grounds have attracted the interest of a colonizing power (nation/state) from hundreds of miles away. Describe some of the of changes you and your people going to face as you become incorporated into a state level society.

Your total should be 500-750 words (2-3 pages double-spaced); in other words, more than just a sentence or two about each. Remember, this is replacing part of an exam grade, so it should be given adequate time and attention, not hurriedly dashed off five minutes before the deadline. :-)
