Pay very close attention to the requirements and grading for this assignment. If you are not diligent in checking your paper thoroughly, you could potentially lose all your points on this assignment. This assignment, and the future assignments in this course, will be graded very strictly on grammar, punctuation, spelling, and citation format. This is so that you will have a polished, well-written finished product.

Your assignment should be typed, double-spaced with 1-inch margins and 12 pt. Times New Roman font. Your assignments should be APA formatted with a title page that includes your name and class information.

Grammar, punctuation, and spelling mistakes will be graded. You will be allowed 5 mistakes, after which a point will be taken off for each mistake, up to 10 points. Please carefully check your paper for errors.

For this assignment, you will complete your research paper project introduction and annotated bibliography.

I have included several links to outside sources detailing how to write an annotated bibliography in APA format. Please read through these sources before beginning the written portion of this assignment.

1. The introduction for your paper should be at least 350 words. (an abstract is not needed at this point. We will compose the abstract in a later assignment.)

2. You should briefly explain the problem(s) on which you are focusing, and touch on the approach you are taking to review and address the problem.

3. You will use a minimum of 10 peer-reviewed sources for your bibliography. Each entry should be at least 100 words. You should already have at least 10 sources from Assignment 6. There is very little need for direct quotation of your references in your annotated bibliography. This should be in your words, paraphrasing if necessary.

4. You will be allowed 2 mistakes in your APA source citation. After 2 mistakes, one point will be taken off your grade for each mistake, up to 10 points.) If you need assistance in citation, please refer to a written APA manual available at libraries, or an online guide such as the OWL at Purdue website (conveniently, one of the instructional sources that I have provided to you for this assignment is at this website.)

5. Pay special attention to spacing and indentation. The examples given for this assignment are very clear. You may also search for more examples on your own, if you feel it necessary.
