Introduction to the Organization

Apple Inc. is an international technology company with its headquarters based in the United States of America. The nature of the organization is manufacturing technology devices, application, operating software as well as provision of technology services. The company is well known for being compartmentalized. Employees working on various projects hardly interact with or access to data and information on other ongoing projects. This shows that the security design of the company is very tight. It is impossible to release any information that one can hardly access. The organization structure of Apple highly contributes to rapid and effective innovation, which has enabled the company to emerge very successful in online services information technology as well as industries on consumer electronics.

The success experienced by Apple Inc. is partly as a result of its ability to satisfy its different stakeholders as well as corporate social responsibilities. Stakeholders of the company affect the business significantly through sales revenues as well as customer perception. Such stakeholders include the consumers or customers of Apple’s products, the employees of the company, investors, workers of suppliers and distributors ("Apple Inc.’s Organizational Culture & Its Characteristics (An Analysis) - Panmore Institute", 2020). Apple prioritize customers and their main aim is to provide customers with effective and efficient products that are priced reasonably. Apple also ensures that its employees are compensated properly and invest in their career development. Apple addresses its investors by ensuring they perform excellently in their financial matters. Employees of the distributors are also addressed as Apple’s own employees through job security as well as proper compensation.

The organizational culture of Apple Inc. enables the human resources to provide support to different strategic objectives. The organizational culture of the company is based on creativity and innovation. The main things included in the corporate culture of the organization are innovation, secrecy, creativity, top-notch excellence, and moderate combativeness. The organization culture of the company is also in line with the mission and vision of the company to ensure it achieves the goals and objectives. The company shapes its corporate and organizational culture and utilizes it as a means for strategic success as well as management. The company strengthens its competitive advantage against other similar organizations through its organizational culture.

Through this paper of organizational assessment, the organization will be in a position to identify its strengths, weaknesses and embrace participation of different stakeholders to help in improving any areas that need improvement. The company will also have an opportunity to take a figurative step back and conduct evaluation on its overall operations. The assessment will help the company to identify the effectiveness of its processes and the capability of its leadership. Moreover, the organization will be in a position to identify the possible risks that are likely to affect its operations and develop the necessary measures to combat them.

Analysis

Among the analysis tools used in the organizational assessment include SWOT analysis and PEST analysis. SWOT analysis is used to examine the resource capabilities, insufficiencies, external threats as well as market opportunities of Apple Inc. SWOT analysis will provide the assessor with crucial information regarding the external and internal factors of the organization. The four components of SWOT analysis namely, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats helps in identifying the situational analysis of a company.

PEST analysis stands for political, economic, social and technological aspects of a company. This tool will help in identifying and comprehending the strategic threats of Apple Inc. The assessment will be conducted by identifying and analyzing strategic measurements in different departments. The overall performance of the organization will be measured as well in order to determine the strengths and areas that needs to be improved ("Performing Organizational Assessments", 2020). The results will then be simplified and evaluated further to ensure the main details captured by the assessment and analyze them effectively.

Risk Analysis

Among the challenges that will face the company as per the assessment include technology challenges. The radical innovation machine of the company is at risk of running out of steam. The latest phones developed by the company are marginal instead of improvement of its predecessors in terms of technological capabilities and physical attributes. Apple is also facing leadership challenges. The company is planning a leadership transition, which puts it in uncertainty regarding its future. It might be difficult for the company to remain successful without a leader with a strong vision, ample technological knowhow and relevant art skills to provide excellent products and services. The company is also experiencing competition challenge. Companies such as Amazon are challenging Apple in terms of innovation and provision of quality products. The company is also facing an economic challenge. Even though Apple has a strong brand image among its customers, which contributes to the inelastic demand of its products, its sales are getting sensitive to a down turn especially in various parts of Europe.

The project can be conducted within the boundaries of the state as well as federal regulation because the company meets the internal and external compliance requirements.

The company has a good history of paying taxes with federal governments as well as filing paperwork. The company records are properly updated and the company is legally allowed to undertake their operations. It has the necessary licenses and recertification, which makes it legally compliant. Hence the project can be comfortably undertaken within the state boundaries. There might be some potential stark and antikickback concerns due to failure of realizing the risks. Other potential concerns may arise as a result of failure to implement and follow the program of compliance for their practice.

The project has adequate resources to carry out its operations effectively. Such resources include analysis tools to carry out assessment. There are also equipment and materials for assessing the performance of the organization. The tools will also help in identifying the problems and challenges that are facing the company as well as other potential risks that may face the company. There is also adequate capital to undertake the project and ensure a smooth flow of operations related to the assessment. There will also be experts to conduct professional analysis in order to obtain accurate and suitable results.
