1a) Nutrient Density is a measurement of the nutrients in the food verses the kcal content. When a food is nutrient-dense it means it is high in nutrients and low in kcals.
1b) The two most nutrient dense food I ate were the chicken breast and Clif energy bar. The chicken breast because it has good protein and vitamins. The Clif bar has all the nutrients I needed and provided energy.
1c) The two foods that were less nutrient-dense were the French vanilla coffee and lemonade, both these items have no nutrients and have a high amount of sugar.
3) My actual calorie intake is lower than the recommended. It does not concern me because I am actually trying to lose weight so my goal is to eat less calories. I have used a tool to calculate how much calories I need to consume if I want to lose two pounds a week so my calorie intake is around what is recommended to lose weight.
4) In most my categories I was completely under in my MACROnutrients. All of this is concerning because even though I want to lose weight my Macronutrient needs should all be meet. In my meals I think they may be a little too small and I need to add more proteins like chicken and fish in my diet everyday also more fiber rich foods like oatmeal and beans or lentils.
5) All my calorie and fat sources are within range. My protein source is on the lower end of what is recommended. So like I stated before I need to add more protein rich foods in my diet.
6) Vitamin D Actual 2.29 Recommended 15.00
Folate 108.49 400.00
Calcium 422.64 1,000.00
Magnesium 101.19 310.00
Phosphorus. 398.46 700.00
The three most significant deficiencies were Vitamin D, Folate, and Calcium. Vitamin D and Calcium are good for your bones. Folate is good to make dna and genetic material.
