Art for Children
Assignment Four example
Jackson State University
Name: Teacher Date: February 4, 2018
Methods Class/Grade/Subject: Art 301
School Site: Jackson State University
Topic or Your Arts-Infused Lesson (s) Theme: Buildings Study
Art or arts you plan to use: Visual art, Dance
I. Considerations: Background
Which arts are within your personal comfort zone? Why? I am most comfortable with the visual art. When working with young students, it helps give them an idea on how to create an image and gives them ideas on how to express their selves within the image.
What kind of art activities do you like to lead in your classroom? Why? The activity that I like to lead would be story. I like story time because I include the visual aid. It helps them to remember the story by using props and the students can interact as well.

Students’ overall literacy skill levels (reading, writing, speaking): I want the student to demonstrate and communicate a basic understanding of buildings, answer and ask simple “how” “why” questions.
