Wilbur Tampa Park

(I arrived at Wilbur Tampa Park at 2:45 pm. I started looking for a good site to observe and take notes. The park has fewer people than usual, but they are scattered all over the park. I decided to start taking notes at 3 pm in order to find a good site for the next 15 minutes. I found two great spots in the park. The first I will call Site A and the second I will call Site B. Site A is on the northeast side of the park and from there I can observe the people on the two basketball courts and the playground. Site B is in the middle of the park and I can see the people walking in the long square path that takes you around the park. I brought a chair with me to sit in anywhere in the park.)

(As I settled into Site A), I observed that there was a group of 4 people playing basketball with each other. They enjoy their time a lot and play on one side of the field and each one throws the ball in turn and whoever scores a goal first wins or earns points. The players are having a great time, laughing loudly, and making fun of each other. There are also three other people in one group in the adjacent basketball court, and they are playing a game different from the previous game. The player in possession of the ball tries to dodge the others, and then hits the ball towards the net. They seem more relaxed than the previous group, but they are having a good time

In the northeast of the park, there is a playground in which there are about three children, a brother and a sister, and another child who is older than them by about three years (I think the brother and sister are between the ages of 4-6, and the brother appears to be older than the sister.) The three children are sledding in the slide and having fun playing with the games in the playground and laughing. (I don’t think

think the brother and sister knew the other child, they seem to have befriended each other at the park.)

There is a man on the lawn south of the two basketball courts sitting on a chair. He is eating a burger while reading a book. There is a family in the south of the grassy area near the man who is reading about 50 feet away. They have prepared a small feast, this family consists of four members, father, mother, brother and sister, who eat sandwiches and drink juices. (Looks like the family will head to the playground after they finish eating.)

(At 4:30 Pm), The two groups who were on the basketball court met and Become 7 players playing a match in a full court 4 versus 3. The atmosphere between them was exiting and more competitive than before.(At this point the park reached its peak for today and the amount of visitors are increasing.) The number of children in the playground increased to 8 children, playing and trying all the games available in the playground.

(I finished my observation at Site A and now I am heading to Site B.) (While I was walking toward Site B) I saw two boys who seemed to be playing soccer, one of them climbed a tree and the other was waiting for him under the tree, ( they were trying to bring a ball down that got stuck in the tree.) The boy who climbed the tree couldn't reach the ball, so the other boy told him to hold on tight because he would shake the tree. The boy started to shake the tree, but the ball was steady, so the boy on top of the tree thought of breaking a stick and hitting the ball with it, so he did that and dropped the ball. Then they played soccer on the lawn, The boys were exited and happy.

(As I settled into Site B) I observed a teenager (appears to be 15 years old) at a distance of about 65 feet from me came and started flying the drone. He was flying it so high that I no longer saw the drone (and he was apparently taking pictures and videos of the park.) On the path I also saw two old people walking with their crutches. The park in the middle is full of trees, their height ranges from 13-30 feet, some of them are not covered with paper and others are full of paper.

(I started looking at the long square path.) In this path from the north side, there is a young man walking his dog. He walks around the park through this path while petting his dog. Also, in this side of the path, there is a woman walking in this path with her two dogs. (she looks 40 years old.)

On the other sides of the path, I observed two women Doing yoga on yoga mats. They seems very relaxed and calm. They were watching practicing videos in an iPad and apply them. Around 17 other people were walking, jogging, and running in the path.

It started raining. (At 5:30, Many Visitors On their way out after it started raining.) The park is located in the south of a residential area and is surrounded by mountains from the east and west. I saw many animals in the garden, such as rabbits, squirrels, and many birds, and I also heard the sound of frogs.
