Assignment
Welcome to our discussion forum #1 for Week #4. The goal of the discussion forum is to give you the opportunity to communicate and collaborate with your classmates. Your participation in the discussion is vital to our mission of creating a collaborative learning environment. The minimum requirements for the discussion is 3 (three) posts. Once in response to the main topic of our discussion and twice in response to your classmates. Your initial post and your peer responses must be submitted on different days.
Discussion Requirements:
You need to post your initial thoughts by Day 3 (three) of the academic week (by 11:59pm,). You then need to respond to the posts of at least two other students by Day 7 (seven) of the academic week (by11:59pm.). Remember your initial post and peer should be on two different day, therefore you are expected to participate in the discussion forum at least 2 days during the week. Initial posts are expected to a minimum of 200 words and well-written. Additionally, your post should integrate content from the text and other sources into your original post and responses. In your replies to students make a substantive response. In other words, add to the dialogue. Be sure to cite using APA standards (e.g. in-text citations and a reference list).
Whenever possible please post your content directly in the discussion to maintain a flow of conversation that is diminished when you have to download work, images, text etc. I know that it is not always possible but let's keep the downloading to a minimum.
For this discussion, please use your weekly readings to compose a response to the following prompt/question(s):
What role does editorial thinking play in data visualization? Why is it important or not important in your opinion?
