Learning Experiences

Develop a double-spaced, four-to-six (4-6) page paper (excluding title and reference pages)

discussing how the learning experiences (e.g., discussions, course materials, case studies, videos

and assignments) in this class have impacted each of the five (5) issues listed above. Consider

using the TurnItIn function provided to check your paper for accidental plagiarism and spelling/

grammar errors, prior to submission through the assignment portal.

In your paper, be sure to:

A. Include definitions for the terms “values,” “beliefs,” “perceptions” and “assumptions,” and

demonstrate your understanding of the differences between these terms.

B. Provide specific references to your original recording, i.e “In my recording,…”

C. Include a discussion about how specific class discussions, course materials, case studies,

videos or assignments may have affected your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and cite

properly to these sources in the paper and in your reference list. Demonstrate your

understanding and ability to apply the concepts, theories and ideas reflected in the course

materials by linking them to your discussions, and citing them properly.

D. Review the NASW Code of Ethics and Values and discuss how those values guide ethical

practice with family violence survivors and perpetrators.

E. Conclude the paper with an appraisal about your personal areas of acquired knowledge and

skills, your personal areas of needed growth, and your personal areas that warrant ongoing

support and additional information.

F. Cite to course materials to support your positions and include a reference list.
