Assignment 3 Technology Influence 1

Assignment 3 Technology Influence 3

Globalization in the way at which people have managed to increase their interaction with other people across the globe as they exchange ideas and cultures. Internet as a technology have greatly helped in promoting globalization in the world. People have built platforms on this internet technology like Facebook and they manage to socialize with anybody within the globe.

With this, it has brought up some of problems which are facing current society and government. Some of the problems include erosion of social ethics as culture is eroded by other more desirable cultures. Trade imbalances also have happened as trade is undertaken more freely and in large scale. Internet have also brought about increase in illegal trade like drugs, pornography and human trafficking business (Hirst, et al, 2015). Perpetrators of these heinous acts can find their prospective buyers on internet since they are anonymous. Government have also suffered loses of revenues as most of bossiness are conducted online and it is hard to ascertain the actual revenues generated by business. These problems have al being contributed by information technology and related technologies.

Globalization have also helped in political globalization. With political globalizations, there is adoption of political frameworks which are used or being practiced in other countries. Citizens in other countries learn and try to adopt governance and political movement on other countries. It is evident in the famous Arab uprisings where other Arab nations realized that they could resist their government just the same their peers have resisted. This brought about bloodshed and loss of property in most of these Arab countries.

The problems which have been caused by technology can be solve by having other information systems and technologies being implemented so that they can curb the vices arising. These technologies will help in ensuring that only required content is shards on social networks. The system would utilize artificial intelligence so that these systems can be able to make decisions without human interaction (Crane, & Matten, 2016). With this country would manage to ensure that only the right content is shared. Cultures would be preserved and people would be excluded with external influence. Countries would enforce on system which would help in tracking online based companies and this would make them to have real companies’ revenues. With such enforcement countries would regain their lost revenues which were being lost through wrong tax returns. These systems would be embedded systems which would be embedded to the main company systems and they would relay sales to the concerned government authorities. Government can identify platform which criminals are using to conduct their illegal activities and block their IP address so that they will not be available on their countries. These information systems and technologies can be used in solving problems which are caused by the same information systems and technologies.

In preventing penetration of harmful political globalization countries may come with ways on which technologies which are helping these penetration (Pieterse, 2015). They would be enforced through either taking down whole technology or by having systems which can sought out information which will reach citizens.

Finally, technology have provided both advantages and disadvantages to current society and government. The best thing is that we have both avenues which can be used so that effects of these disadvantages could be minimized.
