Paragraph 1

Due to the complications that are present in schools, there should be some changes

made in order to improve education system. To begin with, the number of students should be

reduced in classrooms, so all students are given an opportunity to be heard. For instance,

overcrowded classes may affect the learning process since the teacher will not have enough

time to address every learner individually and provide additional explanation to students who

have not understood the lesson. Second, the syllabus should be updated and revisited by making

it more exciting for students. Moreover, to broaden the students’ knowledge one of the effective

techniques would be to make their syllabus somewhat stimulating by adding extracurricular

activities, other than basic ones. Furthermore, this would certainly help them become creative,

as well as make them think outside the box. Last of all, the outdated way and style of teaching

must be changed. Teachers should include engaging activities, videos and slideshows in order

to be able to create fun and interesting lessons. In addition, this way of teaching would grab

students’ attention and make them more concentrated in class. To sum up, as education is very

important, it should be improved to a higher quality in schools.

Paragraph 2

In recent decades, most of the world’s population lives in urban areas for several

reasons. First, the increased industrialization of the nineteenth century resulted in the creation

of many factory jobs, which tended to be located in cities. These jobs, with a promise of better

material life, attracted many people from rural areas. In addition, a lot of factory workers

relocated to the cities by taking their families with them with an intention to offer them more

qualitative living conditions. Second, there were many schools established to educate the

children of new factory laborers. The promise of a better education persuaded many families

to leave farming communities and move to the cities. Consequently, children of these

employees had been guaranteed free and better schooling, thus these newly established schools

were flooded by the migrant kids. Last, as the cities grew, people established places of leisure,

entertainment, and culture, such as sports, stadiums, theatres and museums. For many people,

these facilities made city life appear more interesting. Furthermore, numerous services offered

in the cities were incomparable to the modest ones people had in the countryside, thus the desire

to move to the city grew tremendously. To conclude, many choices available in the city drew

people away from rural communities.

Paragraph 3

Carefully planning a family vacation can make a difference between a wonderful

vacation and a terrible one. The very first thing a family should do in deciding what type of

vacation to take is to determine the budget. Figuring how much can be spent, letting everyone

on the family know the budget, and staying within that budget will alleviate the stress of

worrying or arguing about money during the trip. For example, a family of six may find that

its budget will necessitate travel by car rather than by plane. Once the budget has been

determined, the family should focus on where to go for vacation. A vacation to New York

would involve several different factors than planning a vacation to Canada. For instance, to

enter Canada each family member will need a passport and that process can take as long as

three months. The next step is to decide on possible activities. For example, if a cruise is

planned and the budget permits, family members may want to examine the excursions that are

offered and choose one or two. The final step in planning is creating a daily itinerary. By

mapping out the specific days for each activity, everyone will have a clear idea of what to

expect. Including the entire family in the planning process allows each family member have an

input and ownership of the vacation.

Paragraph 4

Online shopping is the act of purchasing products or services over the Internet, which

has revolutionized the way the shopping is done nowadays. Many people choose to conduct

shopping online due its numerous benefits. First of all, there is the convenience of being able

to shop at any time of the day and for any type of product imaginable. Online shopping allows

you to shop for 24 hours a day. You can surf the Internet at any time of the day and buy your

goods. Furthermore, with the convenience of online shopping, you should just log onto the

Internet, visit the store’s website, and choose the desired items. Those items will be held in a

virtual shopping cart until you are ready to make the purchase. Secondly, cheaper prices

motivate consumers to purchase their goods online. For, example, the prices you can get online

are lower as the seller does not have the costs of running a shop. By providing an online location

and not a physical one, online retailers have discovered that they can meet the needs of their

customers with less operational expense. Last, home delivery option attracts many individuals

to shop online as the commodities are brought within their area. This saves shoppers the hustle

of physically going to pick their items. In most cases, the items are brought to consumer’s

doorstep and they just need to sign and receive their order. To sum-up, majority of individuals

prefer to shop online because of their appropriateness, fair cost and shipment options.

Paragraph 5

The workplace environment is being affected by social networking sites such as

Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. First, most people don’t consider it a negative habit to check

Twitter during the work day, but it is actually stealing. People who constantly check Twitter

when they should be working are stealing time from the company. Second, people who use

company computers to check Pinterest during the workday are misusing company equipment.

Although it might seem harmless, this use of company equipment is no different from driving

a company car or using company furniture for personal reason; maintenance, service and

upgrades cost and must be budgeted. Finally, people who check Facebook during work hours

can lose focus on their work, causing delays and poor performance. Something exciting or

disturbing that is posted could have an impact on the employee and his or her ability to work

could be affected. Although people want to stay connected with each other during the day,

company employees need to limit their use of social networking sites to private equipment

during lunch hours, breaks or non-working hours.
