This is a Group Project. As a group you are required to send an e mail to the CEO/Owner of your company making sure you apply some of the Dale Carnegie Principles . Here is the Scenario

The Company is a privately held company that employs about 150. The Company is engaged in light manufacturing and supplies some of the major auto companies in the area. However about 70% of its revenue comes from two big manufacturers.. Most the employees are hourly workers working in the plant, except about 30 employees that work in the office in a number of administrative roles. The company has been closed for the last 4 months due to the pandemic and most of the employees are furloughed until further notice. The supplemental unemployment check from the Federal government stopped at the end of July!.

The Owner/CEO of the company has expressed interest in getting employees back to work. She no longer thinks it is feasible for her to continue the operation much further if the employees do not get back to work almost immediately. She fears that she may lose business to other competitors, and that her two biggest customers may seek other suppliers. She is leaning very heavily on the HR department to develop a plan for restarting the plant operations no later than September 15th. At the same time she is beginning to hear to discussions in town about why some of her employers are not ready to get back to work yet. Many of them do not believe it is safe for them to get back to work. In a factory floor, whee some of the employees are relatively young and some are older, there is some concern that some asymptomatic workers can inadvertently spread the virus. There are some members of the larger community that are ready for workers to get back to work because they think it is good for the local economy, while there are others that think a surge in the number of virus infection may not be a good thing for the community.

Your group, which represents the HR department of the company, has been tasked by the owner to make a recommendation for getting the plant opened by September 15th. Your task as a group is to send an email to the owner/CEO of the company outlining your recommendations to either open the plant or not by September 15th. In your memo to the owner be sure to consider the different opinions/options on the issue, even differences of opinion within your HR group. In your memo please make sure that you apply as many as possible of the 30 Dale Carnegie principles.

Your group will submit this Memo into the discussion thread. Only one memo to the CEO /Owner for each group .
