Design problem and user research
Sprint 1: Design problem and user research
Due Week 3: 7/8/20
The goal of this sprint is to identify the goal of your application and who your users are. You will need to create a problem statement outlining the problem that your application will solve. You will also need to identify who you are building this application for.
Artifacts:
Problem statement: 5 marks
A brief statement outlining the goal of your application. What will it allow users to do? Keep it simple, a couple of sentences should be sufficient.
User research and notes: 20 marks
Test the feasibility of your idea. Conduct some basic research to understand your users and their needs and goals. You should create a basic outline of your user research plan. A 5 step process for conducting user research will help you with this. What are your objectives, hypothesis, methods and answers to your research questions? Conduct your research and write up the results in your synthesis. Make sure to answer your research questions and address your hypothesis.
Personas: 15 marks
draw two or three personas to represent your target audience. Try to incorporate what you've learned about your users from your research
