INTRODUCTION:

This assignment covers chapter 1 and chapter 2 of this course on topics of Descriptive Statistics and Measures of Central Tendency and Dispersion.

DIRECTION(S)/REQUIREMENT(S):

1. Find a short article/graphic info that is business related from any source that exemplifies the use of statistics.

a. Provide the article in the report and cite appropriately.

b. Identify and describe one statistic reported in the article.

c. State the variable related to the statistic in part (b).

d. Describe the sample related to the statistics in part (b).

e. Describe the population from which the sample in part (d) was taken.

f. Students are required to prepare a presentation of the findings above.

2. The data below shows the distribution of 60 respondents surveyed based on their marital status and hours of exercise per week. Their exercise experience levels—beginner, intermediate, and advanced were also recorded. The survey resulted in the raw data presented in the table below.
