There is a concern that fast food may cause weight gain. A recent research study reported that eating at a fast-food restaurant two or more times a week was associated with a 10-pound weight gain over a 2-year period based on a relative risk of 2.5.
· Based on the study's outcome, can you conclude that eating fast food causes obesity?
· Is the risk of weight gain increased or decreased for someone who eats two or more times a week at fast-food restaurants? Explain why you think the risk is increased or decreased.
