The Legend of Bagger Vance	Golf	This film uses golf as a metaphor for spiritual enlightenment. It is another outstanding performance by Wil Smith. This Film is available on Bblearn

Radio	High School football – true story	Great film starring Cuba Gooding Jr. as a mentally disabled man and how his community accepted him with the help of a very compassionate coach. Great film. Have your tissues handy.
Miracle	Hockey – True story	Amazing film about the 1980 USA Hockey Team – Great film Inspirational
Sea Biscuit	Horse Racing	The true story of horse that was not supposed to be fast and became a national hero in the 1930’s
Secretariat	Horse Racing	A woman fights the male dominated sport of horse racing, and trains Secretariat, one of the fastest horses in the history of horse racing
Concussion	Professional Football	Based on the true story about the National Football League trying to cover up the science of concussions discovered by Dr. Bennet Omalu. Wil Smith should have won an Oscar, when he lost it kicked off a wave protests against racism in the film industry
Any Given Sunday	Professional Football	I have seen it, but it was so long ago I don’t remember much
The Wrestler	Professional Wrestling	Sex, nudity, drugs. Very Gritty film about the underside of professional wrestling. Great film but it is dark.
The Art of Racing in the Rain	Race car driving and dogs	If you love dogs – this is great film. Bring your tissues.
Whip It	Roller Derby Comedy-drama	Coming of age story of a young woman who finds acceptance in the world of Roller Derby -1st directing debut of Drew Barrymore. It has been billed as the most empowering female movie. Don’t know if that is true but I like the film.
Invictus	Rugby	True story about how Nelson Mandela used a national sport to help bring South Africa together in the Post-Apartheid era
Lords of Dogtown	Skate boarding	A Hollywood version of Dogtown and Z-boys. If you are a Heath Ledger fan – it is worth seeing. But the rest of the film is just average.
Swimming Upstream	Swimming	Biographical drama about 2 brothers that become elite swimmers
Chariots of Fire	Track and Field	True Story about the 1924 Olympics and 2 British athletes, Nazi Germany and Antisemitism

Dangal	Wrestling - Indian Film with subtitles True story	This is great film about 2 sisters that became great wrestlers and competed and medaled at Commonwealth games. I have never shown this because it is 3 hours long – but it is very good film
