ASSIGNMENT 1

Debate the Merits of Planning

For this discussion, students choose which side of the debate they'd like to represent in their discussion post. Each side of the debate has a short video in support of its stance. Content to review for this discussion board can also be found in iBook Chapter 5.

 

Do you agree that planning is important and a difference-maker in organizational performance? If so, select option 1.

1st Option: FOR Planning -  brief video on the managerial benefits of planning (Links to an external site.)

 

Do you disagree that planning is important? Do you feel having a plan is too rigid and leaves the organization not agile enough to recognize new opportunities? If so, select option 2.

2nd Option: AGAINST the plan -  brief video on the criticism of having only a "plan" (Links to an external site.)
