To provide security to the organization as a security officer below are 9 identified threat related to realm of possibilities and fringes:

Realm of Possibilities

Natural Disaster Threat: This includes probability of business being affected by natural causes like earthquake, cyclone, tornado etc. which can disrupt the flow of business based on stoppage of internet and electricity that are first to be affected by natural disaster scenario.

Threat of breach from consumer error: This showcase the large scale possibility of breach on the network through consumer account because of consumer error like using weak password, or sharing password with other, which can result in breach across the entire system that can compromise other consumer data as well, which will directly impact the goodwill and flow of the business.

Breach through vendor network: This highlights probable security breach on network through vendor server because of gap in their security, which can result in compromise of organizational information to the hackers.

Malware: The malware threat is one of the biggest challenge for the organization this bring under consideration all possible security threat to network from various viruses, and can happen based on gap in security measures of the organization. The after effect of which can display compromise of sensitive information of the organization to the hacker.

Insider Misuse: This threat can arise from the various mishaps like sharing entry code with colleagues or by leaving open system unattended by employees possessing a direct threat to the network that can result in the business to suffer.

Fringe Threat

On the other hand there are fringe threat to network that also challenges the course of the business as security officer identified group of such fringe threat that can impact the business are as follow:
