Conflict Resolution
Paper Requirements
Your team will select a topic from the list or explore a new topic which is relevant to
the course content. The team should explore elements of this topic in-depth and
provide research and literature to support. You should begin exploring the topic you
have chosen by reading and citing appropriate literature that addresses the topic. The
discussion should then attempt to go beyond a summary of the literature. You can do
this in a number of ways: providing an analysis and critique of the literature, applying
the findings of the literature to a particular organization to determine whether the
reality of the organization is similar or different from what the literature suggests by
conducting interviews with individuals who are knowledgeable about the topic.
Note: Teams have the opportunity to explore other topics as long as it is within the
context of the course. Teams who wish to work on a different topic must have approval
from the professor. Teams must submit an email to Dr. Assadi with the suggested topic
and questions for discussion. The topic must be submitted by for approval no later
than October 12th.
The paper will be evaluated on:
o The quality, relevance and comprehensiveness of the literature review
o The development of the discussion beyond the literature review
o Structure and readability of the discussion
o A strong thesis statement (concise summary of the main point or claim of the
essay/research paper) – Must have!
o Accuracy of grammar and spelling
o Citations and referencing (APA format 6th edition)
