ENTR 8000-Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Customer Interviews

Assignment Number 3B – 10 % of final mark

Introduction

As a group, you have identified information about for your business concept including sector, the market and competition. As a group, you have gathered more information through conversations and interviews with potential customers. This assignment focuses on what you have learned from those conversations and interviews with potential customers. Please note the number of words as a guideline for each of the questions, but note, this is a guideline only.

You do not need to include a transcript of your conversation and interviews with potential customers.

Include the three pages of the Zoom Tool worksheets (PDF / MS WORD) as appendices to this report. One report will focus on the customer traits or persona (Customer Zoom Tool), another report will focus on the customer pain points that are being solved (Problem Zoom Tool), and the final report will identify the minimal viable product or service (MVP) (Solution Zoom Tool).

Part one: Ideal Customer (400-500 words max.)

Question one: Based upon your Customer Zoom Tool, describe your ideal customer or, in other words, your customer persona. (200-250 words max.)

Question two: How did this customer persona change as a result of your customer conversations and interviews from what you initially envisioned as your target customer.

Part two: Customer Problems (400-500 words max.)

Question one: Based upon your Problem Zoom Tool, what are your customers’ three primary problems that your business solution is solving?

Rank these problems as low, medium and high.

Question two: How did your customer problem change as a result of your customer conversations and interviews from what you had initially thought was their biggest problem.

Part three: Minimal Viable Product or Service (MVP)
