Summary

The documentary was about family being struggling to improve their existences, living in a world full of plastic. The main character, kun who is the owner of the factory and a farmer. Kun makes money from recycling plastic, it is the only way for him to make living. He works so hard to makes his family survive and make his kind educated. Peng is a worker in the factory as employee, trying to have a better life for him and his family. Kun his biggest aim is make money to send his kind to school, where Peng was spending most his money on alcohol. He believed that his kids can get education without being in school. While the kids are either foraging or sorting the plastics, hoping to find something that they can wear or toys. Peng’s oldest daughter named Yi Jie, is always baby sitter her baby sitting her cousins. She discovered the world from items that she found the in the rubbish. Being in this environment made her spend her day constructing imaginary world of the trash that cover the ground.

Yi Jie wants to the factory to go back home for school, however her father is not able to afford it. Their boss, Kun is making money to buy his self a vehicle and he been helping Peng’s daughter for being a tutor. The family classifying the plastic using their hand without having any protective clothe, and uncovering themselves from the poisoned liquid. They always dealing with poverty and health issue, kun had apian that he was concerned about, but he refused to check for himself. Kun was able to sent his kid to school for 65 dollars a month, and get the car he wanted, and takes his mother, wife, and his to Beijing in the holiday to see Chainman Mao’s. Peng’ s been a miss and drunk, still in the village. He makes 5 dollars to and day which he barely feeds him.
