The chosen clinical issue of interest is depression among teenagers.

I chose this peer-reviewed article because it is current and addresses a significant relationship between gender, age, anxiety, depression, and academic performance among teenagers. The ethics of research related to the clinical issue of interest include confidentiality, informed consent, and conflict of interest.

The objective of the research is to identify the impact that anxiety and depression have on the academic performance of students in North Iran.

The methodology used is qualitative and the study considered both the Beck Anxiety Inventory and The Beck Depression Inventory. The study also used ANOVA as well as SPSS-21.

The Beck Anxiety and Depression Inventories are important because they can sufficiently measure the severity of anxiety and depression among students. Coupled with ANOVA and SPSS-21, the methodology used was credible.

I chose the article because it succinctly discusses the psychiatric nature of depression among teenagers in Malaysia. The ethics of research that relates to this research is confidentiality.

The objective of the research is to identify the symptoms of depression suffered by teenagers in Malaysia.

The study used content analysis which is a quantitative method that produces both systematic and objective descriptions of a phenomenon.

The method used enables the researcher to examine different documents and literature reviews and thus provides a wide range of data.

3. Singh, S., Zaki, R. A., & Farid, N. D. N. (2019). A systematic review of depression literacy: knowledge, help-seeking and stigmatizing attitudes among adolescents. Journal of adolescence, 74, 154-172.

I chose the article because it addresses an important concept in depression studies; depression literacy which can be used to improve the outcomes of health outcomes and thus it relates to my area of interest.

The article aims to collate and analyze the extant evidence on depression literacy among adolescents. It particularly focuses on tools that can be used to examine depression literacy.

The article used electronic databases to collect data and excluded all qualitative studies. It then analyzed data descriptively using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS), Cochrane Collaboration's tool, and the Quality Assessment Tool for Quantitative Studies (QATSQ).

The method used is important since it exposes the researchers to a wide range of data sources and thus increases the chances of obtaining and high-quality data.

4. Shoeb, S. M. Depression in Indian Teenagers; Causes, Symptoms & Suggestion.

I chose this article because it addresses the causes and symptoms of depression in Indian teenagers and thus relates to my issue of interest. The ethics of research related to this clinical issue is informed consent and confidentiality.

The research aims to identify the major causes and symptoms of depression in Indian teenagers as well as the role of parents, guardians, and teachers in helping them cope.

The methodology used was qualitative. The researchers also used a random sampling method to select the teenagers.

The method used reduced biasness since it gave every teenager a chance to be part of the research. As a result, it enhanced the validity and reliability of the results.
